As already mentioned in earlier posts, Euromed Marseille has chosen a clear position in favor for sustainable (responsible) development and has adhered to the Global Compact. Recently I have been able to present for a "class prepa" in Marseille, an integrative view on sustainable development, Global Compact and the paradigm of complexity (dynamic view of economy). Though the powerpoint does not necessarily give a good impression, it certainly describes the logic. We are currently working on a publication on this issue, but some suggestions of the basic ideas (complexity, diversity and learning) are already made in earlier publications that I made for the IAU in Sao Paolo, on Diversity and learning, and at a IASTED conference in Aruba, on the use of Blogs in education.
About This Blog
This BLOG has a double purpose. It aims to contribute to the discussion and development of the academic field that could be situated in between complexity theory, knowledge management, innovation and learning; in summary a more holistic and systemic approach to management. As such it reflects the activities that take place in the Euromed transversal research track on this subject. The Home Page and the Reading host this contribution. In the News and Discussion sections, this BLOG is used to animate courses in the area of “Complexity and the Networked Economy”, "Knowledge Management and Learning" and "A quantum interpreation of business".
